Apollo woofer modules are an Open Baffle (OB) design that integrate perfectly with extended-range towers. There is no enclosure coloration. Using separate woofer modules allows flexibility with their placement to optimize bass integration into the listening room. Furthermore, the bass modules are designed to be stackable. The one pair of woofer modules that comes with the Apollo system will yield a deep, flat bass response in a medium to large listening room. If the Apollo system is used in a large listening room, multiple pairs can be stacked or placed around the room to minimize room issues.

Apollo open baffle woofers are a perfect addition to panel speakers like electrostatic speakers and planar-magnetic-ribbon speakers that might need a bit of reinforcement in the lower octaves. They are also available powered with DSP controls. Apollo woofers are also a great choice to augment a pair of stand mount speakers. We don’t call them “Subs” but they are quite capable of being subwoofers.

The twin 10” woofers in each woofer module have rigid flat composite aluminum honeycomb-fiberglass cones maintaining linearity and high impact. The balanced double-roll surround design maximizes stability and control and minimizes distortion. Their dual heavy-gauge aluminum shorting rings (for low inductance) and 6-layer voice coil ensures maximum available force and fast, impactful bass.
